Safety at work Training
A proactive approach to developing a safe workplace would include enhancing preparedness through risk identification and safety training. Whether for an individual or group, assistance is available to prepare for emergencies.
Training
The Occupational Health and Safety Acts requires employers to provide such training to employees as is necessary to enable the employees to perform their work in a manner that is safe and without risks to health. WorkSafe Victoria provides information on requirements as well as a list of approved training providers.
Workplace training courses
Workplace emergency response training courses are designed to provide employees with instruction on methods and procedures to adopt in order to mitigate an emergency in the workplace. There is a particular emphasis on strategies aimed at reducing the effects of fire and most importantly saving lives.
Fire Safety Training
CFA can provide training in a number of areas for private industry. There are a range of skills that can be gained through formal training including emergency warden training and use of fire equipment.
First aid training
Training is available from many approved organizations organisations such as Metropolitan Ambulance Service, Red Cross, and other local registered training providers. Many of these organisations also have first aid kits available for purchase.
